I tend to see life as a book. A book is a collection of many experiences united by a common theme. A chapter explores some of those experiences and how they connect to the larger narrative. I think that this works the same way in life. With each new phase of life comes new experiences that add to that common theme. That common theme is one’s life. In a chapter, a character can have many experiences contributing to feelings like pain, grief, joy, happiness, etc. These experiences add to the overall quality of the story. In my own life, these experiences have shaped and molded me into the young man that I have learned to love. They have added to the overall quality of my life. This new chapter, starting this blog, will only add new experiences. I am so excited to begin this journey with many friends and family. I hope that you will consider joining me on this journey.
I know that many of you are wondering why a blog now?
The answer is one that I think is blog-worthy. I had a blog when I was in middle school; however, I never really understood the meaning of the blog. I thought that people who blogged had too much time on their hands and they were sharing too many personal experiences. This was when social media and reality television were not as popular as now. Over the years, I have seen blogs change lives. From reading blogs to hearing friends’ experiences with blogging, I have seen the revolutionary power of the blog. After seeing the power of blogs, I still hesitated; I had so many questions about blogging. First, when would I find the time to blog? Will anyone read or care about what I have to say? Will people judge me on what I have to say? After speaking to a close friend, I had an epiphany who told me I have so many great things to say that I should consider writing them down for myself. I realized that blogging is something that is for me -to coincide with the spiritual journey of self-discovery, I have been on. A blog is a place where I can write my ideas and have a place to store them. If someone discovers my blog and they read it and have a life-changing experience or simply enjoys reading it, that’s just an added bonus. I learned that I can write whenever the urge to write hits me. I can share how much of me I want to share. Life has taught me so much; sharing those lessons and wisdom is simply amazing.
So you can enjoy my blog and leave comments, critics, and feedback. However, this blog is for me and my ideas; at the end of the day, that is all that matters. Some things you may find controversial, and that is ok. Just be respectful, and I will listen. I am here to share my book of life with you and grow stronger spiritually.
As I will end every blog:
Let God’s light shine within you and through you!
Hey there,
welcome! I am new to WordPress and same here, ” this blog is for me and my ideas, and at the end of the day that is all that matters .” That statement there means a lot , because we all can relate, especially being bloggers. I’ll be staying in tuned for what your wonderful blog offers myself and others here on WordPress. I like the fact that blogging is just a space, an open opportunity to be yourself, not to be politically correct and just speak your mine on the things you care so much about in life. Good luck !!!!!! Will be commenting soon.Thank You King!
-Blessings 🙂
