“Every traveler has a home of his own, and he learns to appreciate it the more from his wandering.”
― Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was right; the more you wander from home, the more you appreciate it. I felt this same sentiment in my absence from my blog. My blog is my online home where I can freely express myself. It is where I have met a supportive intellectual cyber community that has become my cyber family. While traveling through this life journey, this blog and all of my blogger family have never been far from my mind and have never left my heart. This current blog post serves as my homecoming. Indeed, it is not the same as a collegiate homecoming with its tailgating, loud and raucous parties, and tremendous pride leading up to the big game. However, this homecoming is still so lovely. I have returned to the place that challenged my intellectual curiosity, the place that helped develop my deep analytical skills, and the area that has allowed my writing to flourish. When a business has given you so very much, you can never forget the impact that it has had on you, not even if you tried.
This homecoming has been excellent. I have reconnected with long-lost friends, found exciting posts, and returned to the place that allowed me to share my world. This homecoming has led me back to a site that helped me organize and develop my passions and the business that gave me “life organizational” skills. I am deeply indebted to this blog and the supportive community that has been there to go on life’s journey with me. I have reconnected with the person I was when blogging changed my world. It feels as if, though, I am a kid finding that long-lost toy. The toy that you thought was forever gone. In my absence, I constantly thought about this blog’s impact on all aspects of my life; this has made me appreciate it and never let it slip away again.
It feels so good to be home!
Until next time,
Let God’s light shine within you and through you!
