The side-effects of change!

I am a true believe “all change is good change,”; it does not matter the situation. Change is inherently good because you are growing and evolving. You are making progress to get you closer to your destiny. You are learning those life lessons and earning wisdom. You are healing and stretching and strengthening those spiritual muscles. I love change because things don’t stay the same. However, I hate change because things don’t stay the same.

I can remember praying to God, asking for change. I wanted to find comfort from the strain of life. Knowing that when my transformation comes, I will be a different person – a better person. I tried to move past my inadequacies and my mediocrity. Thinking if I changed myself, life would be so much better. After experiencing change, I am happy to say that I accomplished those things. Life got better, but there were still side effects.

For every good thing that happens in life. There must be an opposite effect; there has to be. When life improved, and I could move past rough situations, I could only think about the negative for a while. However, there are times that I think about those good moments. Those moments make a change –they are bittersweet.

I think about the times that I laughed uncontrollably. Those moments when I was relaxed and had no care. The people that I met and the relationships that I built. I think about the people who have left this place. I think about the fabulous spring air and the smell of the ocean. I think about those simple times. Thoseonce-in-a-lifetimee moment. The moments that made me—me

Change allows you to move forward, to leave things behind. But this also means leaving behind the good. J Cole said, “There’s beauty in the struggle.”” There is so much beauty in this struggle that we call life. While we are struggling, we sometimes forget to acknowledge the beauty in it until it’s gone. We are so busy trying to change our situation, knowing it will improve, but we don’t stop and enjoy the process. Once it has been changed, there is nothing that we can do to bring it back.

Change helps us get closer to our best selves. Sometimes we have to leave the excellent or to reach our better selves

Until next time:

Let God’s light shine within and through you!

I am who I say I am. The previous statement is a simple declaration of the power I have from being set free from the confines of who people wanted me to be. Today we are so consumed with how we want those around us to perceive our existence that we are not keenly aware of who we are and the value of our existence, our contributions, and our power. It is my life’s mission to allow those around me to come into their full existence and to make them understand that they matter. Through this site, I hope something touches you and makes you understand that you matter. Once you believe that you matter share your testimony so those around you will understand that they matter. Let’s continue to share until we are all liberated.
