Some of my fondest memories, when I was younger, was sitting on her back porch having great conversation. One thing I love about her (that’s not in the top five) is the fact she never talked at me or down to me. She spoke to me as if I was on her level. She made me believe I had something important to say.

I have something to say!
It feels so good to be back. I understand that I must update you on the going-ons of my life. So let’s begin: I do not care how spiritually mature you are; there will be a time when you will be lost and stuck. Times where you just won’t have any answers. This has beenContinue reading “I have something to say!”
Friendship should be hard—not hard.
Recently, I tried to make a new friend. Not because there was anything wrong with the friends I already had; but because I wanted a new perspective. I think it is great to have a diverse group of friends. I met someone I thought I could add to this new group of friends. However, theContinue reading “Friendship should be hard—not hard.”
Stop Apologizing!
Stop Apologizing! My name is Antonio, and I am an apologizer. I have learned, over conscious observations, that I apologize for things that do not need or deserve an apology. Usually, these apologies soften the blow of my “NO!” or uncertainty. This concerns my perfectionism; I want people to genuinely like me. Even when IContinue reading “Stop Apologizing!”
What next?
This is a continuation of a blog post from a few weeks ago, “Diving into the Abyss.” Ok. You dived head-first into the abyss. What Next? This is the question I had after diving headfirst. The experience was better than I could have ever imagined. I got what I was seeking. However, during this process, Continue reading “What next?”
Diving into the abyss
We have all had those times. Where we imagine how things could be, so we decide to test the waters. We know that one wrong decision could end everything. However, we become so curious that we decide to leap head first into the abyss of uncertainty. Stepping into uncharted territory. This has happened toContinue reading “Diving into the abyss”
Growing all over
Hello! I know it has been a while; however, anyone who reads this blog knows it was for a good reason. I was taking a “growreak” (growth break). I gathered my thoughts and did the spiritual grunt work necessary to ensure I am growing in my purpose and walking in my promise. Anyone who desiresContinue reading “Growing all over”
If people were honest, the world would be a better place.
This blog post is not about truth vs. lie. Instead, this post is about honesty vs. political correctness. It is about those sugarcoated truths that are borderline a lie. Those truths that we try to tell others in hopes that we spare their feelings. We do not understand that those sugarcoated truths are doing everyoneContinue reading “If people were honest, the world would be a better place.”
I dreamed a dream that shall remain a dream!
I am not telling you, to let all of your dreams remain dreams. I am speaking of those dreams that we all know are not completely right. The ones where we see the writing on the wall, and we destroy the wall, because it does not say what we like. These are the dreams that need to stay locked in our head. If we will be completely heartbroken, do not do it.
The closure I needed.
Some people cannot handle being around people who are strong, blessed, and happy. They will self-sabotage because they cannot handle friends who are doing better than them. In this case, you should feel sorry for these people, and not judge them. Continue to pray for them, and move on.
